I wish the pictures linked to the actual games' threads/blogs.
I figure that the Twitter account is a good middle-point, that is shared between all of the submissions. Not everyone who posts a #screenshotsaturday is going to have a blog/website for their game, but they all will have a Twitter account. Those who don't have a website will probably be doing their updates through Twitter, and those who do have a website will probably have it listed in their Twitter profile.
noooo please don't do that, it's unnecessarily limiting and counters the point of the thing
we want as many cool pics/projects as we can get.
It was most a "practical" advice than a will to limit the potential of the idea, really. If AndrewFM feels ready to assemble every pics/projects he will receive each time, well that's great.

I wouldn't mind doing it each Saturday. However, from now on, I'll probably wait till Sunday to put up the screenshot list. That way I don't have to keep checking back throughout the day to update the list with new screenshots. I can just grab them all in one go.
Damn... this sounds dump, but how do I submit something on twitter? Was gonna post my game, but I didn't know how.
Once you have a Twitter account, you just need to upload your screenshot somewhere (such as
Imageshack). Once you upload it, use a URL shortening site such as
bit.ly to shrink down the link so you can fit it into your Twitter message. Also add "#screenshotsaturday" into your message, so people can find your screenshot by searching the rest of the Screenshot Saturday posts.
