I like wasabi. It's especially good when you mix it with soy sauce and put a bit too much on sushi so it stings your mouth.
On the other hand, my cousin says if he eats it'll make him want to vomit.
So I'm wondering how many of you guys like wasabi.

I hate wasabi.
Also, I usually deliberately pronounce Japanese the "wrong" way. Using the real pronunciation makes me feel like a weeaboo.

It's okay, I guess. A bit overpowering.

I love wasabi, and I pronounce it correctly because when your read it in Spanish, it sounds exactly like the Japanese word Most of my friends and family don't like it, so I get to eat theirs when we have sushi. Sometimes I eat it so much that my nose and forehead start hurting a bit, it's like ultra-awesome mustard.

I put a load of it in my mouth on holiday. It was the first time I had eaten proper sushi, and I assumed it was avocado or something. Very painful And sushi is really overrated

Sushi might be overrated by some, but it really is great! I love the fresh fish taste and any excuse to drench something in soy sauce is A-OK with me. But I like strong flavours generally.
Also, making your own sushi is grand fun (and messy)...

Wait a second, you guys talking about the imitation stuff right? I don't think I've ever had the real stuff. However, I don't care for horseradish, nor do I care for imitation wasabi. So I am rather doubtful that I'd enjoy real wasabi. Please see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasabi#Usesand http://www.thenibble.com/reviews/main/condiments/other/real-wasabi.asp

Wow I had no idea. I want to go back! I want to go back!
But I can't.
Still, I also eat horseradish and the wasabi I have eaten has a distinctly different "effect" as well as taste than horseradish. So I don't understand...

I like spicy food! I hate wasabi. I like wasabi peanuts though, somehow. Probably they are less hot. I developed a taste for umeboshi instead, which isn't spicy but is sour and weird.

Isn't wasabi just very strong mustard? That's what it tastes like at least. It's useful for dares, but I wouldn't eat it on an everyday basis.

I like spicy food, and I like eating my food in tiny bits with a lot of preparation between bits, like preparing a sushi with wasabi, soy sauce and ginger. Overfishing is not cool though.
