It's a person who manages builds.
I am actually curious. Do you: . code . manage coders . design . have direct reports that are creatives? etc.

I am actually curious. Do you: . code . manage coders . design . have direct reports that are creatives? etc. This varies day to day, but things I do can include everything from coding to setting up build configs or peripheral tools/scripts to hardware maintenance to chasing up build breaks and source control issues, and the list goes on. It's kind of a different thing each day, since what you're doing depends directly on the state of the build at any time. The scripting side is probably my favorite, but there's always a good variety of things to do. Edit: Also, I do not have direct reports. I manage builds, not people There is a lot of interaction involved with everyone on the team and you set/maintain guidelines related to builds, handling issues, and source control in part but I don't manage anyone directly.

That sounds pretty ugly. Did something similar to that but I just sent mails to those who broke the build via some buildserver script, no hands-on fixing as it was more of an additional responsibility in a relatively small studio. Wonder how you can stand this but then again I'm just sick of fixing other people's shit so that might the reason.

I think you misunderstand what I do a bit That or I just didn't communicate it clearly. There is not really fixing of other people's shit - I'm responsible for the build system and processes, other people are responsible for fixing stuff they break. But I'm mostly here to chat with people about smaller "indie" projects (I put that in quotes because imo the term is getting a bit overused. I just make quick games for fun in spare time). One Game a Month and js13kGames for me atm!

That's the spirit, powered by the pure temptations of game development. I applaud you, Sir.

Combined hot apple sauce with frozen raspberry. Visually pleasing if mixed AND amazingly delicious.

Just shaved. Need to learn to trim it before it gets to the point I'm twiddling it like my hair.

beat ico for the first time. emotional. the queen is powerful, and yorda's relationship with you feels real. the game is enjoyable despite how amazingly little time you spend actually solving problems. though the puzzle design is still pretty good.
atmosphere, atmosphere, how are you dear. please show up next time, when I'm in a bind, seeking some respite from games on repeat.
