TIGJAM UK 4
Date: Friday 4-Feb-2011 to Monday 7-Feb-2011
Venue: CB2 Bistro, Cambridge.

A weekend of making games.

Get tickets here:
http://tigjamuk4.eventbrite.com/

£5 each, which will go towards goodies!

Official forum thread

http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=16153.0

See CB2 here: http://www.cb2bistro.com/
You'll be expected to buy food and drink at the venue.

Accommodation:
hostel thread here (there are people who might be able to offer floorspace/bedspace if you can't afford it - but IMO hostels are a lot more fun).

Transport:
The event is within walking distance from Cambridge Train Station.
It's easy to get to Cambridge from Stanstead airport, and you can travel up from London Kings Cross or London Liverpool St rail station.

Pass the word around, and register now!

Times:
Starts at 6 on the Friday.  There'll be people around before, but that's the time I'd aim for.

I'd definitely be there, so long as it's not the last weekend of January.

Yes, do this!

Can't do the last two weekends in January or the last weekend in February but any other dates are fine by me.

Intriguing... Got stuff on during a few weekends in Jan/Feb, but so long as this is on one of the free weekends I'm up for doing something.

Maybe. Can't do 1st-10th Jan, but other than that, I'm available.

And I'm the most interesting man I know, obv.

I'd definitely be up for this: I was planning on arranging something myself, but not seems like a lot less work.

But yeah, also I believe I have a venue. The London Hackspace can accommodate 15-20 people easily, and more if be can find some extra chairs. It's pretty cool, and has a beer fridge, coffee machine, sofas, 3D printers, lasers etc. And we won't have to pay anything to use it. http://london.hackspace.org.uk/

Calendar for what's on (http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=gc1bopmh3c5n0ogvlo6ceujlkc%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=Europe/London) shows nothing on weekends for January or February. I'm keen to have it in January, as sooner is better than later, but we should decide soonish. I set up a poll to facilitate this process expeditiously. http://doodle.com/fctu8nekp3z7pnqu Put yer freeness there.

I think that sounds awesome but I'd be wary that 15-20 wouldn't be enough.  It's getting to be a reasonable sized event these days.

Were you thinking CB2, Stephen?  If nothing else it's a decent fallback and I doubt they'd mind giving up the whole upper floor if a lot of people were gonna come and buy food & drink.  Perhaps even offer to pay them a fee which could be collected for entry (a tenner a head or so?)?)  I doubt that was legal punctuation.

We had around 30 last year in CB2 in cambridge - we were able to get in there upstairs just letting them know in advance and they were fine with it without having to pay money up front or anything like that.  So I'm okay with that as a location, unless someone can suggest somewhere more commodious still.

We're thinking early February (first or second week) might be better - there's lots of stuff on in January.  If you can rename it from London Gamejam to TIGJAM UK I'll link it in the first post so we can collect dates Wink

Yes yes yes, very much up for this.  Only weekend in Jan/Feb that I've already got booked up is the 15th/16th Jan.  Any other and I'll be there Smiley
