2.5d, at least back in the day. Right now i'd just call it pre-rendered graphics.

Nintendo Power/Nintendo/Rare, back in ye olden days, used to call this Advanced Computer Modeling (or ACM).

Man, I sure do miss those times when tech-related companies would slap ridiculous, futuristic names on stuff to make it seem more sophisticated/advanced than it really was.
