Hey guys,

We spent a bit more time on this throughout the holidays and committed to spending another 2 weeks to see where this could go - I updated the concept image in the first post, you can also find it here:

This turns out to be a really cool test for testing our studio / production. We still have to switch out that little character graphic, but the game is already up and running like that (we also got rid of the effect that caused bad performance on weaker machines), which is cool to see. I think we'll probably publish a first little demo once we've got the first temple done.

Hope you guys like it! Smiley

I think there's no harm done in sharing our last video:

http://www.warsoup.com/files/sein_02.avi

This is from a couple of days ago, the screenshot is from yesterdays demo, but you should already see that the engine works properly. We're just playing around with what things should feel like, some mechanics, etc. - also, we used icons and stuff from other games for now, since we weren't sure about art direction yet. Eaaaarly stuff, but you guys should know how these things pop together Smiley

Oooh, this looks pretty.

Would it be possible for you to upload that last video to YouTube/Vimeo?

Nah, it's too early. We're still using a bunch of placeholder graphics and stuff and nothing is really done - once we have a first real little demo, we'll upload something on there Smiley

This is looking really promising. Can't wait to see where you're heading with this Smiley.

Just out of curiosity, are you using an engine of your own to create this or are you using Unity? I'm just wondering since you've worked wonders with Unity in Warsoup but from the looks of it I'm guessing this is a "custom job" Smiley.

David, one of the guys who created Construct is one of our programmers, so we're currently doing this in Construct because it's a fantastic tool for prototyping.
