Well, unless we get further clarification, I'm assuming that we get to chose which midnight.

Oh, sorry. My last post wasn't in reply to the people asking which timezone we were using. Actually, I can't remember what it was in reply to Huh?

I might be aiming for GMT-12, in that case Grin

I'm almost ready to submit my entry, but I've had to cut a few things (music and art mainly, maybe a mission type as well).  Are there any guidelines about updates to games after the deadline hits?  I'd like to keep working on it, but if I have to wait until judging is over I might just start something else instead Tongue

There are no rules about what you do with your game past the deadline. It's completely up to you whether you continue developing it or stop.

Phew. Done.

I think that I didn't really make the most of the procedural generation part of this competition. All my geometry is parametrically generated, but the idea of shooting enemies, which would upgrade them next time... i didn't really have time to do it justice. It's there to some degree, but so much more could have been done with it if I started a little earlier.

Oh well. Hope you enjoy it for what it is: a prototype for a better possible game.

I guess you need to keep the "finished submission" version of the game there for posterity, though.

Derek will probably host all the finished games on a separate page, and not accept updates past the deadline.

39 entries finished so far! And one more coming up, so at least 40 competitors this time!

Go go go!

Also, I wouldn't worry too much, Derek wouldn't just stop accepting entries one minute into the deadline especially with so much awesome on the way.

Whoooooo!  Sorry I haven't been around to answer questions today - I've been laid out pretty badly by a nasty stomach virus. Embarrassed

Re: deadlines/updates - as Melly explained (thanks!) I'm pretty lax about people turning in entries a wee late or providing small fixes/updates after the deadline.  And if you need hosting, just ask.

The entries are looking hot hot hot!  Congrats, everyone!
