Multiplayer Games: Super Street Figther 4 Tekken 6 Soul Calibur 4 KillZone 2 Civilization Revolution Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 UFC Undisputed 2010 Resident Evil 5 Gold Little Big Planet Metal Gear Solid 4 Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena
I'll be getting Bioshock 2 here soon and I have Joe Danger and a few other downloaded ones but I've not bothered to check if they have net play yet.

Ah, so the Wii friend code isn't universal? It's game-specific? Excite Bots is probably the least favorite of the games I got so far, along with Dr. Mario

The Wii FC is only for your console, it means you can send messages, Mii, photos and other things to your friends. The game specific FCs are independent from that code. Yes, it's not what you'd call practical, but you have to register each code once and forget about it forever. As for Excitebots, I liked it but it was too my least favorite when I decided to trade it.

Still, the whole friend code system is a mess. Monster Hunter 3 doesn't have them, why can't other games do the same?
On topic: I could post my codes here but I'm rarely online with my Wii so they probably wouldn't be of much use to anyone.

Yeah, the Wii is more of a local-multiplayer console, and I'm okay with that, which is why I bought it

The last real local multiplayer console is more like it. The Ecksbawks and PS3 hardly have anything in terms of that. Kinda sad, really.

I'm away from my Wii right now and don't have my Friend Code written down anywhere, but I CAN say that my PS3 ID is KingPenguin1029. No, I'm not a fan of that name either, but I'm stuck with it.
I am eating up Gran Turismo 5 right now, I can hardly bear to put it down.

I was seriously pissed when I discovered Civilization Revolution for PS3 had no hotseat multiplayer. When I bought it that is what I bought it for and I didn't even bother looking at the case to see if it had hotseat multiplayer because it seems like it should be a given considering all the PC Civilization titles had it. They took out hotseat multiplayer for no good reason. I hate how multiplayer gaming is "online or not at all" these days.

Random drunk commentary/review on my multiplayer experience with Wii so far: Goldeneye 007 has great online multiplayer, it's just a shame you can't v-chat, add people, or do local splitscreen online, but it's probably for the best. Bomberman Blast is interesting because you play against Japanese people with madd skillz when you play worldwide. It's cool that you can play online with a local friend, but it's a shame they can't customize their character with a Mii. Dokapon Kingdom is a fabulous game that would be a lot better if the AI didn't obviously cheat... My little bro and I were having a blast until the computer went from last place to first by rigging its random chances New Super Mario Bros Wii isn't online, but it's amazing old-school fun that's beautifully presented and great with co-op or shared single-player. Definitely my favorite game of all. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is a top-notch game that totally immerses you in an atmospheric world full of detail. It's one of those game that a friend could get as much enjoyment out of simply by watching and helping to solve puzzles along with you.

The Ecksbawks and PS3 hardly have anything in terms of that. Kinda sad, really. idk about ps3 but xbox games like halo have been supporting lan and splitscreen pretty heavily, and letting you jump online with 4p splitscreen even

Yeah, and those are appreciated but they're still the exception. At least half the PS2 games I own have local multiplayer of some kind. In my Xbox 360 library (which is 25+ games), it's something like 4 or 5. I dunno, I don't really care much about online multiplayer on consoles, I have a PC for that. For me local MP was always one of the main reasons to own consoles and it's sad to see it going out of fashion and gradually vanishing.

I've never tried to play anything online on the Wii, so I don't actually know my code, but for Xbox Live my GamerTag is manofdoom64192.
I agree that the loss of local multiplayer is a shame. It's one of my favourite aspects of some games, sometimes you just don't want to associate with the awful horde that occupies much of Xbox Live.
