um so this is my first ever attempt at making pixel art.
it's supposed to be Vriska from MSPA Homestuck, but... I dunno how I like it. I just used colors straight from the actual webcomic. I also can't draw hands, legs, or proportions.
:x
oh hey sweet, it's my scorpio partner. :D
it's pretty good for your first try, yes! There are a couple things bugging me i bet you can fix, though.
for one, the coat is flaring out so it looks like there's like 4 inches of space between her and the coat interior, when usually coats are much closer, more like a quarter of an inch. In not-gigantic pixel art, that is nothing at all, so close it up.
Her head is a little misshapen, looks like there's a jaggly on her right (our left) cheek. Also it's a little hard to see the difference between her head and her neck.
The proportions are fine though, don't change that.
Still, it's pretty great for a first attempt at pixel art! Keep it up!

OKAY!
IF you want to start shading, I think you should put in some more colors, or get a little more creative with the ones you have. It'll be a little tough shading with the comic's colors, since it looks like whatever in comic ref you used had no shading on Vriska. Now that I think about it, there might have not ever been much shading on her...
The arms are the right size, but they are sorta spread out a bit, which isn't really a comfortable natural pose? She's like sticking her arms out from the shoulder and letting her arms from the elbow go slack. After you bring in the jacket, try keeping the arms the same size while bringing them closer to the body.
Does any of that make sense?
