Tried a less realistic approach to my Sub-Terra characters.
I might re-add the shoulder pads onto the female character, because while the male can do without them, the female looks like she isn't battle ready.

Excellent. Perhaps the red thing on his left hip should show up in the front-on/backside animations too, though. Also, front-on looks like he's doing the cha-cha.

I've been working on a clothing system and thought I'd redo my animations. The player will be holding items in both hands so I can't really get much motion in the arms, but still the running and walking animations feel really static to me...

Try making the arms swing more during the walk and run cycles, that might help with that static-y feeling you're getting from them.
