Love it! It reminds a little of Geti's work (and I mean that as a compliment, I love Geti's stuff!). Are you planning to make it into a game?

Colon Semicolon - That 'bot is oozing with style. Nice work! Less Sonic, more dragon. It's gonna take me a while to replace all of the animation frames. xD; I'm 8 hours in and still not even halfway there... but it'll be worth it.

Strife, the new design is much nicer. As you said, a lot less Sonic, which is good.

I'm a Geti fan as well, so I'm not surprised that you can see his influence. I was also inspired by some of Hempuli's work (the windmills especially). I'm working on a prototype.

It still reads as "Sonic fancharacter" So does Klonoa, one of Namco's mascot characters. xD; At this point I'm not concerned about her having the same body proportions as a Sonic character - just as long as she no longer looks like a painted Sonic with decorations on top, which I've been accused of more times than I care to count. So, the hair spikes definitely had to go.

The body nor the hair is what makes it look like a sonic character, it's the eyes

The hair spikes didn't go they just moved. It's the eyes and the huge boots and the dot rodent nose and mouth. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just how it comes across, since that came up.

Very interested in seeing how it goes. I really like those tiled trees and the sepia palette. Even though its too colourful in a few places, gives me NEStalgia. Good work. @Strife: I'm with Castle (and Quarry?) that it still reads as sonic fan character fwiw. @Shawny loving that style man!
