@Carrion You have a wonderful pixel style and I look forward to seeing more of your work sir. @Joshua I love the way that text came out, has a "willy wonka" look to it. Also I can't wait to play that little beast you guys have cooking up.

I've been having some difficulties making new artwork, so I thought I would try making some practice simple black-and-white stuff since I wanted to make some more ever since a month or so ago because I thought that style could have some potential. The concept started as just a waterfront (beginning at the bottom), and then I started making a platform for a dock but it eventually turned into something else. Then I thought I would try to make a boat but I ended up with some sort of modular futuristic house or something, but I rather liked it a bit. The water's a bit different looking than the rest, but I may try making a couple designs for water, as I was just experimenting with that at first and wanted to see how it'd feel, though I feel the above design might work better without water. It would be pretty fun to design a game with a similar simple visual style using only black and white, but I want to see what else I can do with this style first and maybe get things more established. I may try working on more finite, less jumbled-together concepts with this style in the near future.

Whoah wait hold on I was referenced by other people to describe someone else's art? oh my god <3 I don't even know what to do I'm so happy right now aaa Also, if you're going to use my stuff as an example do it right! That shot is from in-game. An out of game sprite would work better in proving your point: <3

I ment no offense by it, I love your work! it's just eerily similar to Cellusious. Your style looks like a more improved version of these. -img- Sorry for spamming but I thought it would be interesting to compare the styles.
If you where to compare, you'd be better off picking pieces who wasn't made in a minute for free commisions. Love your pallete @Carrion.

not this shit again
The faster you realize, that i can't use alot of time on a piece. And that's not because i simply don't have the time, but the fact that i'm a terrible artist and i don't know what to fucking do with the piece after a few minutes. Sad Stanley and others are people who make art i just look at and wonder, how do i do that complex stuff that looks so simple.

Some simple black/white graphic designs. I've been trying to make mockups for Roy with some larger areas, but it looks like I might already need to design tiles all over again, cause it doesn't look like the kind of environment I had in mind and I keep losing my ideas when working with it. I've considered trying to emulate Forstrides style for the tall grass tiles in Traversia since it fits in perfectly with this concept, but I feel like that'd be copying or something and wouldn't be very good on my part, but I may try doing something around that concept or something, cause his grass design really works with the kind of environment and feel I'm going for, but the last thing I'd ever want to resort to is bluntly copying. Here's an early, unfinished work in progress in which I kind of started going off in a tangent from my original concept and kinda gave up, since I wasn't really feeling it. (There's a lot of missing parts like a short cliffside and a wide waterfall in the background, explaining the original intent for the gap in the middle, but I never got to making those yet. I can see these tiles being usable, and I feel this kinda works and I could easily use this in a game, but for the specific project I'm making at the moment, I feel it won't quite work so well) I'm also thinking of making some rocky mountain tiles aside from new grass, but I'm going to look into a lot of different tile designs for other games and such, as well as pictures of mountain sides to get some ideas.
