Jesus Christ, didn't your mother ever teach you that if you didn't have anything nice to say to not say anything at all?
I, personally, love Cell's work. It's very unique, I rarely see anything like it.

a) no

b) i didnt mention this person or his 'work' anywhere so i'm not sure you are literate

c) 'style' is a crutch - "that's just not my styyyyyllleeee" - and that's why i don't like the word and wish cartoonish violence on its users (oh no a boxing glove from a monitor! on MY christan forum??). if i can do something better i want to do it better, not make excuses based on a notion of style. i'm really sincerely sorry if the idea of a boxing glove exploding from someone's monitor has really offended you

d) why am i bothering to explain myself to you. i feel like you owe me money now

No-one cares about your personal pet peeves re: defending art on the basis of style.

Also, people have attacked Cellusious before, on this very forum, for his style.  Hence the response.

his style has been critiqued, his flippant attitude toward feedback is what's being attacked

This is exactly what's going on.
I feel like some people don't even try reading what's being said to them and immediately view it as critical in the worst sense.

A new main character for my game. I don't think it looks great yet.
Pixel wizards help me out! Wizard

Nes color restrictions and I'm trying to keep her 24px tall.

Her stance seems a bit awkward. Like she's facing the cam too much. Love it otherwise Smiley

ps keep in mind a black outline is very overpowering at that size and will make everything look  more cramped than it really is

C is most readable. It's still pretty unreadable in case of foreground-background contrast. Maybe less colours in background than forground might work for your style?

Despite the apparent trigger word this is actually really good advice for any sort of in-game art.

This is a quick sprite that I made today during a power outage, of no character in particular. I figured I needed to practice making sprites more often.

The effort you put into presentation really shows. The forms don't read particularly well in general, and the way you've antialiased whatever is above its eyes will only work if it's only presented on a light background.

3*3px fonts are kind of unpleasant to look at

or,

even though this is definitely cuter/moe-er* I think the elongated face with the nose has more personality! I'd suggest making the original's head one pixel taller (without changing the positions of the eyes) so that she gets a more believable head (hair has volume, after all)

The body edit is quite great, though, I recommend taking a good look at that!

*please forgive me lord
