So I've been following Cellusious... Looks awesome! That looks fantastic! Wow, great job Andrio. Here's something I've been working on. Looks great. the only complain i might have is hard to know what's foreground and what's background.

@Cellusious Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how to show background vs foreground better, I might just make the shading darker in the background tiles. Thanks for the advice.

I've been trying to make some new stuff over the past few days after not really doing any work with pixel art for several weeks, but most everything I made felt either bad or painfully boring to me. I decided to try designing a logo for an in-game corporation for a story-centric game I've been planning to work on in the distant future and had wrote a little while ago. (OMPUCO) The logo is a modified scaled version of some 3x3 characters that I used when designing the name in the first place. I liked the simplicity but I wanted to be able to use it and still have it readable and visually appeasing, though there's a few things in the current design that that I'm still questioning myself. While this logo isn't at all representative of what the game is or what the story is about, the game's bare concept calls for some really interesting and bizarre artwork that I might attempt working on illustrating as practice. I'm also working on designing some 16x16 tiles for my strange exploration platformer project and 4x5 fonts as well. The fonts are looking real nice and snazzy, but I'm having difficulties making tiles that I'm satisfied with, and they all either seem boring or too messy to me and I've noticed I keep repeating a dreadful design technique when trying to make these and it's just not working out for me and aren't at all fitting for the kind of atmosphere I want. If anyone can share any games or tile mockups that might be somewhat influential or has good use of 16x16 tile design, I'd very much like to see some of them.

I want to make a game like yume nikki, like a huge dream world type explorey game. here's the story: you play as a 21 year old, unemployed stoner college dropout who lives in a shitty apartment(way behind on his rent). in game you only have 30 days worth of food, which means 37 dreams you can have basically until you run out of food, which is when the game ends because you'll die of starvation eventually. maybe you die in a dream? I had a hard time making up a character so I just pixeled myself the left is regular, the right is dream mode. damn aint this an original concept!! the tiles are pretty simple, I cut a lot of corners but eh. I wanted to create stuff that was simple and easy to create.

Eigen learn from you? hahaha I adore Eigen as much i adore every other good artist. I didn't point anything at him specifically, but good damn realize everyone gets good at anything by learning from others, no one learns from staring into the air for 8 years. No one of us who use the word Artist to describe ourselves develop and evolve by NOT giving advice and getting advice from others. Not by being arrogant and a straight up an ass, which is probably why you're not getting anywhere. That image was one of my many images i make and say like "um, i'm not going to use is for anything, let's give it away for anyone to use and learn off.
