Bringing a skeleton to life ... reverse engineering the lab-assistant hero (Horatio) of my game from his skeletal form. ...
Nitpick: his hair should be probably one pixel taller because otherwise it'd imply his skull is larger than his head o_o Good spot - plus his eyes don't line up, dagnabit. Can't let that one go - thanks! EDIT: second go - everything should line up now and his head is slightly bigger ...

Yeah, much better. Now that you mention it, the new face resembles the skull's shape a lot more (which is good).

I'm no artist, but I had some free time after finishing Shantae. NES palette...I think..? Some perspective issues and some jaggies, but I had fun burning some time.

Gotta be honest with you, mixing resolutions like that is quite eyejarring and I doubt the commercial value of them. If they were cleaned up to use the same resolution all over, I think they could work ,as the character design in itself is kinda cute.

Thanks for the response. Someone else already told me that. I'm currently considering to let my artist do a clearer style too. But since I already got some sales, I will keep it this way and will look where it goes.

carrion, i'm glad you're back ~ the fundamentals that are starting to creep into your abstract work are leading to a really killer aesthetic. Idk how i feel about those crosses you dither with or the roughness of the edges, but it seems to work pretty ok at the precise resolution you're using it.

Agreed. By using a consistent (higher) resolution, you could also crank out more detail for the animations (the idle is pretty basic).

Boredom portrait. I don't know how to art. WIP? Idk. EDIT: By that I mean that I don't know/follow any pixel art techniques. I just make stuff.
