i was in the mood of some visual novel-y kind of sprites for a game i may or may not make and was planning to make like 10 at least to get me motivated but i eventually lost interest lol.
Awwww, she's a cutie
(left). I love these. I think adding a few colors here and there could be a cool look.
hahahaaaaaaaa that's an interesting thought! tbh i originally intended every character to have a different color centric scheme (i.e. one character would only be shades of blue, and another only shades of red) but that fell through because i'm lazy and thought everyone being in the same color scheme would look nice and minimalistic, but i started having my doubts when thinking how well it might blend in with bgs (which i also planned to have a slightly similar scheme to match the mood), so in a sea of doubt i got tired and stopped.
looking at the different colors i think the ones you used at a little too clashy considering the original colors i used but it actually looks like a lot of fun and could probably make something interesting if maybe i actually worked with that hooo
ps. you have no idea how many different versions of the same girl i had to make before i was finally happy with it but every time i made a new character i looked back on it and felt it was off and it was and it went through like 5 different edits, some pretty drastic before i settled with this one. i blame my inability to properly sprite messy frontal hair.
I'm working on an underwater explosion right now. I haven't done animated effects very much - I think the yellow part lasts too long?
not sure about the yellow part but being underwater i would expect it to be less yellow and more noise and bubbles, sorta like this
. just a thought, since it's not like i'm some sort of expert on things exploding underwater (me never having seen an underwater explosion in person before) but that's just what i'd think an underwater explosion would be like from what i know and what i know is mostly underwater explosions in megaman x which are just like regular explosions only they turn into bubbles soon enough.
