Bored so I decided to animate. For animation, maybe you should try switching the paper texture each frame. Just as an experiment. How do you propose to do that? I don't have any ideas... I'd also like to see the 'pod' and the text properly centered.
Well I noticed that the actual pod wasn't centered, and I was too far into it to move it over, so meh.

Take a bunch of pieces of paper and crumple them. Take a picture of each one. For each frame of your animation, put in a different one of the photos (behind the image of the pod). This is easily done in Photoshop.

Just be sure to make it subtle- not too much contrast between the light and dark parts of the paper- so that it won't distract the viewer from the actual subject of the image.

That DJ whatever is awesome! I love how you used green shading on the disks. I would never have thought of that, and it looks so good. The colour scheme in general is kind of what I had in mind for at least some parts of my space ship (the text at the bottom will be glowing green, for example). Lovely stuff. Good job. Awesome job. I don't know what that is, ninto, but I like it! –– Current progress of my ship (almost done with line work now):
