nice colours and design! not sure about the dithering on the small body parts, gets a bit visually messy..

Yeah I should have done a bit less shading to allow the silhouette to speak more.

Character base inspired by this tutorial. Had so many problems while making this- especially with the anatomy, which is still off. If you're wondering about the highlight on his head, he's supposed to have a sort of cylindrical/blocky head. No, I don't know why.

Head doesn't bother me so much aside from the fact of it's darker shade.
I like it for  the most part. I think it would look more correct if the arms where shorter(maybe by like 2px?) and the shading on the torso was redone.

I don't think I can do much about the torso though- I just can't figure out how to do the muscular structure properly.
Probably gonna try to make a female version now (breasts == surprisingly difficult to do in this space)

At such a small resolution, too many details make it messy and muddy.
Instead you should keep the silhouette in mind and emphasize parts that are important.

I kid. Thanks very much for the edit, it definitely has a stronger silhouette. Maybe I should remove a colour entirely. Back to work on it, I suppose.

I'm so impressed with a lot of the work I've seen, you guys aren't only great artistically but also really unique and original!

These are sprites of my dog, Mana, I would like to make a relatively simple game but have no plot. He has a "sniff" ability that lets him see hidden things and the ability to dig them up.
