Kinda crude, I know, but I'm posting it to hear your thoughts - Should I make the wings larger (more realistic) or leave them in the current size (to show more of the body)?

I think that's a nice size imo, too large and it may just lose some its character while also covering up some of those details that give it character.

If you are going to make the wings larger maybe just pull them back so they look more long, rather than extending them to the left and right side.It really looks fine how it is now though. You can tell the wings are too small for something like that to take realistic flight but that's only if you're looking for those kind of details.

That's excellent cow. Love the colours - you might want to make some variety grass to add some more interest to the surface. The flowers are a nice start though.

@Cow - That's awesome, man! I like the sky, especially.
@JSimons - Cool pixel portrait. The black stuff near his face is a little weird - I think you can express it just using that gray / blue color that you have, which would make it a little less eye-grabbing.

Trying to get a feel for drawing women. Also trying to get a feel for pixelling at a larger size, and with colored outlines (usually, I use black for outlines). Not that simple, but I'm getting there.

EDIT: The outlines are colored here, they're just really dark. I think that lighter outlines tend to make characters 'fatter', though I'm probably just choosing my colors wrongly.
