Not turning the head also looks awkward with the body turning quite a lot. I just would tone down the head rotation a bit like this.

Trying to create a walking down animation. Having trouble with it but it'll do for now. Need to move on to the side angles.

Thanks Pietpiet, can't believe I actually thought about it and still got it wrong. Already looks better

The extreme poses also help to create the illusion of exaggerated movement; many cartoons would not be applicable to reality just because that's not how physics works, but I think a lot of animation principles function as a replication of how we might perceive those things.
Yeah I know but... i think he means why does she turn to almost look at the player.
I meant this. This looks more sensible to me.

Turning the head needs to be even more subtle then this, i feel blink made the best edit by having no turn.

Looks really smooth. Very nice. His smile seems a bit wide, like he's evil or something, though. It's kinda hard to explain.
Related, but presented poorly: I always see your guy with purple hair as having a goatee / moustache combo, not just a pointy beard. I liked that facial hair combo... Anyway, awesome work.

redoing like half of this guys animations because poop pee balls Really nice. Small edit: Because you're moving so many pixels around, the parts that don't move at all stick out. I'd animate those too, like the head and waist bands. You can also apply it to the right (our left) hand, which looks really stiff in some frames.
