I don't care what anyone says. This is pixel art at it's purest. I started off with the idea of challenging the viewer's perception of depth - notice how the black pixel sits so subtly on the white background. Its harsh displacement from the cent--- oh god what the fu** am I doing with my time.

<imgs> I can't tell what the guy on the left's head is supposed to be shaped like. Just a circle, it could be the fact that it's blending with the background that's causing that problem Just realized this would work (right-click copying the image's url from a google doc, I mean) <imgs> These are the characters from my devlog (*gasp* a cross post?) that I'm particularly proud of.
Slick characters. I feel like the guy on the right's shoulders are too sharp, but otherwise, they're very nice and solid. What devlog is this from? Also, did you literally mean 'guy'? the far right is a female

I hope nobody took me seriously. If so, what a baaad way to introduce myself. Now for the super srs stuff, I've been lurking here for quite some time, just in complete awe of the talent. Here's my attempt (and roughly my 2nd proper go at pixel art): It hurts to suck at both art and programming. I'd rather it was one and not the other. Time to animate it

@DustyDrake - Kinda, yeah. It doesn't really feel like a female initially. I think her shoulders shouldn't be so square - that would help to give the feeling that she's not male. @retrohelix - Cool robot. I'd like to see it when it's all put together. Also, funny photoshop. At first I thought it was an actual picture of modern art. Now I realize that it's between old, classical art, which is a dead giveaway. Anyway, "ha ha ha". @JoJoJoJo - Awesome character, and the tiles are good, as well. The dead tree doesn't look bad - it's just that it's not outlined that makes it look unfinished. Otherwise, with a little more thickness, it's sweet, too.
