Robo-slippers!
Damn. Can't unsee. I will have to change them now! Are the guns his arms or will he have limbs up there as well?
Those shoulder plates to the left of each gun were the best I could come up with, I initially wanted some kind of shoulder pivot and a weapon-style appendage to slot into them - it's just so hard to add that kind of detail when you don't know what you're doing can count the number of pixels with your fingers and toes. @retrohelix - Cool robot. I'd like to see it when it's all put together. Also, funny photoshop. At first I thought it was an actual picture of modern art. Now I realize that it's between old, classical art, which is a dead giveaway. Anyway, "ha ha ha".
Thanks! I'll post some animations when/if I finish them. Another dead giveaway is the geometry

I don't care what anyone says. This is pixel art at it's purest. I started off with the idea of challenging the viewer's perception of depth - notice how the black pixel sits so subtly on the white background. Its harsh displacement from the cent--- oh god what the fu** am I doing with my time. I once did something like that, it was a yellow rectangle, basically I drew all these doodles in yellow and then I painted over them, so there are all these different things but you can't see them. True Story.

True Story.
Was it an ever-so-slightly different shade of yellow, so that only certain very persistent people could see it, while others couldn't, causing them to think they're going insane and slowly lose their grasp on reality?

Err, how would you recommend improving this? Trying to make and animate a pokemon trainer sprite, but not good enough to make it perfect myself

Well at least it looks convincing, instantly thought that "Hey, this looks like a Pokémon trainer!"

Trying to make and animate a pokemon trainer sprite, but not good enough to make it perfect myself To me it looks like a pimp getting ready to beat up his disobedient whore, but then again, I haven't played or watched any Pokemon. The right hand's gesture looked very awkward without context. No edits to the legs because their general shape is okay and I'm bad at drawing legs.

<imgs> I can't tell what the guy on the left's head is supposed to be shaped like. Just a circle, it could be the fact that it's blending with the background that's causing that problem Sorry; I said head, but I meant face. I can't tell if those two middle tone L-shapes are supposed to be eye ridges or what.
