Pretty old WIP that I haven't posted here I don't think.  Delicious, have I ever told you that you're beautiful? I like this quite a bit. I know a lot of people look down on symmetry, straight on light sources, and the like, but there's something so definitively 'pixel-art' about the look that I just love it. ...And now I'm off to do make similar. Does that mean you're my muse? Edit:And here it is:  I intentionally broke a bunch of pixel art 'rules', at least as I was taught them. I'm pretty happy with the results. |

Awesome work dude. As always your faces are just super evocative. One nitpick I have is that the hair is a little too complex. I did a quick paintover for fun, but take it with a grain of salt because it may not be the look you're going for. I just simplified the pallette to 3 colours and changed the highlights a little.  While I'm critiquing, the other thing I would do is make the shoulder slope downwards and stick out a little more. Right now it looks like she's carrying a lot of tension  And here it is: I intentionally broke a bunch of pixel art 'rules', at least as I was taught them. I'm pretty happy with the results. I love this, reminds me of Arcanum a little and that makes me happy. |

It looks a little strange that only those two points on the hat hop up and down. It would help if the back of her dress also had some motion. The color choices on this are excellent! |
