I like everything but the suspiciously golden hay piles.

I dunno, that sounds like the most rambunctiously insular thing ever, like bands singing songs about each other, or film makers making films about major players in the film industry. Then again, artists doing an exhibition of art depicting artists doesn't seem as bad.
All of them sound like a circlejerk though. Smiley

I vote for the indie sprites being made into a monster collecting and battling sim. Indie-mon

That sounds like even more of a circlejerk, but at least has some room for humour I guess Wizard

Indie Game Dev Story: Platformer Edition

The faster you finish the level the less money you have to spend on development costs and the fewer enemies you leave alive (the fewer bugs the game has) the better the game does.

I hadn't been able to work on much pixel stuff lately due to being busy all day every day. I made this 1-bit color 16x16 character illustration earlier this evening in the iOS app SpriteSomething since I wanted to at least start getting back into doing stuff. I don't think it's very legible but I'm thinking of trying to make something based around this, but in color.

It's some sort of bovine-like character. I mainly just wanted to have fun with this, so I'll describe what's going on here. The single squares on the top of the face are eyebrows, the tall rectangles below them are eyes, and the squares below that are cheeks. Near the legs, there are lines on each side representing little arms. If any of that is recognizable, wow.

I used 1-bit coloring here since I wasn't in the mood to spend all day figuring out colors on a phone and tediously going back and forth to change between them. I'll try seeing what I can make with this concept on my computer with the world of color at my fingertips.
