Yar. A mouse-aimed Side-Scrolling SHMUP!



What will be procedural:

The enemy projectiles ( you will find out later, just be patient )
Enemy spawn rate ( duh )
Random sentences that the enemies randomly say during gameplay (suggested by Hideous)

Ima think of some more.

Now:

Demo!


What still needs to be done:

More enemies
procedural enemy speech bubbles during play (so procedural sentences)
Music
Scoring & (online) Hiscore table

Looks like it could be pretty cool Smiley

If you have time, though, you might want to work on sprucing up the graphics a bit. They look pretty spartan at the moment.

Sometimes the bad guys get stuck in the ceiling. Also, it's very easy, unless the enemy spawns on top of you, in which case it's just cheap. You should consider making it so that the enemies never appear directly above you. Also, there's nothing to indicate the edge of the level. Just a simple wall would make it more intuitive.
I love the way the bad guys stack on top of each other. You should do more with that, maybe when there's a stack of four, they fuse into an uber-villain?

I can't really say much from the demo, although I like the art. Needs more enemies, which you're going to add, and maybe a Blaster Master style tank jump would be nice.

Hmm.  Still pretty spartan.  Took me a while to realize that the movement keys are A and S (as opposed to a and s  Lips Sealed ). Blocks falling overhead not a problem for me.
