I just bought it. Having some issues with the download links though. Downloaded both the install and .zip and they were both corrupt. I'm trying one of the mirrors they've added now. Wish me luck.

The demo didn't bring any hard puzzles so I'm "hungry" for more. Do you mean there weren't any hard puzzles or that it wasn't hard in general? Because, I just played through most of the demo, I started out on "Alternative", and I gotta say that was a bit brutal at times.. Apparently, the "Alternative" difficulty is comparable to the Dark World concept of Super Meat Boy, with levels that are based on the same concepts in both modes, but are largly reworked, harder versions in "Alternative". The demo is also pretty long, actually so long that I'm already "satiated". But, I couldn't buy a new game now, anyway, and if the full version's levels are as varied and cleverly designed as the demo's, the purchase should be well worth it if you already liked these

The lack of proper full screen or any sort of zoomed view kills this for me, unfortunately. Seemed interesting otherwise.

what do you mean by proper full-screen? there are three screen modes: windowed, full screen at 1x, and full screen scaled. i'm not sure what else could be added?
obviously he can't just set the screen resolution to the game's resolution because the game area is wider than widescreen resolutions (as a ratio).

I guess the scaled/zoomed full screen only works if it is enabled in your graphics card driver's options.

Bought it. Playing it on alternative mode, as I like the whole "what the hell am I doing thing". The only real huge gotcha with leaping in that way so far has been when the press enter to do something mechanic was brought in, and yet wasn't signalled. I knew I had to do something special, but not that there was an extra key for it. It seems to suffer a little from the same irritating vagueness and "but I did it right!" moments that all physics heavy games seem to fall a little foul of. Having said that I'm finding the whole experience utterly charming so far. I've done the first couple of worlds and really enjoyed both the atmosphere and the gameplay, looking forward to resuming my game tomorrow

I agree. I think at least the basic controls should also be explained in Alternative mode. I guess many players are going to start with Alernative Mode right away, especially because the description for the normal mode mentions that it's good for casual players

Can't wait for that Mac version. Hopefully it runs okay on my netbook, it doesn't look too GPU intensive (not holding my breath though). This is probably one of the more high profile games using my physics engine.

I completed it on normal mode. Didn't actually time it but my guess is it took between 1 and 1 and a half hour to complete. Loved some puzzles, loathed some (especially didn't like one that had a number at the edge of the screen to tell the player how many objects had to be transferred from one screen to the next before the player could move there safely).
Overall I really liked it. All of the machines were so imaginative and made it very unique. From what i've tried from the alternative mode it seems quite different. Almost like The Dark World in SMB, every level has more hazards and puzzles.

Been playing a little of the demo, so far the game looks and feels pretty good. I'm usually not a big fan of physics platformers, but Nifflas added some interesting mechanics here to switch things around from level to level.
I don't like the sparcity of checkpoints, though. If I cleared a screen, I would like it to remain cleared unless what I do there has a direct effect on the next one.

I played the demo. It seems really... dull. So far everything has been relatively straightforward, and the puzzles that haven't been were just sort of annoying. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think it's very fun (based on the demo, anyway)

I totally forgot about the 'Alternative' mode. Anyways, I've just bought the game and I'll first try to beat it on 'Normal' and then see what 'Alternative' is about.

I've not tried the demo but, from what people have said, if you didn't enjoy it you probably won't enjoy the full game either

Ah, fullscreen doesn't work properly on my computer then. It always comes up as letterboxed in both maximised and full-screen mode.

have you tried reducing your screen's resolution manually to something the game barely fits in and then running the game? that may help a bit

On LCD screens, changing the resolution to anything different than 1/2 of the original will make everything all weird and fuzzy, and I'm sure no version of Windows supports such small resolutions anymore.
I'll stick with 1x. At least it looks crisp.

Yeah, there's no way I'm messing with the desktop resolution. I'll have to find another machine to play it on, but this is my main PC for gaming.

I like it, very atmospheric and relaxing considering it's a physics puzzle game with a ball as the main character. Wish the art was dont at a higher resolution though, I prefer playing games fullscreen since it's more immersive and this game doesnt scale too well.

Just finished the game (played alternative from the start, is certainly challenging enough!). Really enjoyed the experience. Absolutely dripping with atmosphere and full of excellent design choices too.
