Very good advice!
I really want to make pictures of all 97 of these, each with a simple, clean quote and a little picture displaying the concept somehow.
Then set my desktop to cycle through all of them every day or something.

i strongly disagree with this. a lot. there are hundreds of artists out there looking for work, especially if you can pay them for it. having good graphics will make your game feel more finished and overall better, plus you will be helping out the pool of artists which are looking to get into game making.

I disagree as well. I think graphics play a big role in the game.
