Hey guys, I've started working on my first game design document to vent out an idea has grown and developed in my head for a while. However, I don't know how to write a good design document. All I've done so far is make a list of all of the aspects I could think of and have only begun going into specifics in the characters, controls, and items categories (I have more listed, of course).

Well, back to the point, can anyone give advice on how to write a good game design document?

Hmm. Well, if you're interested, here's a design doc for a game I was developing with Ian Danskin (Peevish). It was never finished, mind you.

The black text was written by me, the red sentences were his comments, and the blue ones were mine.
