Ha ha, homing teeth :D

It's addictive as hell. Can we pleeeeease have an extra-ugly megaboss every five heads? You could just generate a head with 3-5 eyes and 1-2 mouths and scale it x2.

Oh and blinking eyes and talking mouths could really add to te "cuteness" of the heads :D

Yay for the eyes!
I've managed to nail down 9 of the sad fuckers so far :D

Imo the player ship should be made about 25% smaller for easier bullet evading. Now some deaths still feel as they are not my fault. That's generally a thing you want to eradicate from any game.

Plays great though!

The way they spray bread-shit everywhere when they die is really annoying. I don't think I died once except from that, and every time it was impossible to avoid.

Other than that, though, nice game, and love the music.

After some tries it isn´t even hard to avoid the spraying skin-flecks. It´s easy to avoid them when you kinda know when it´s going to start spraying.

Glad you liked it!

This game is just great! I've had a lot of fun playing it. Hope you will continue your work on it after the competition.
Feature suggestion Lips Sealed Add some kind of shield (which could be collected like missiles), because sometimes there are really tough situations, especially when you kill another face right over you  Roll Eyes

I'm working my way towards 50.

There's a kind of dominant strategy you can use. Since heads cannot harm you directly it's a good idea to camp on the top of the screen most of the time. That way you only need to worry about the homing teeth. Play predominantly with missiles and come down for short periods only when you need to grab a missile pack or outmaneuver a swarm of teeth. And as a general hint - always cross head's path above it. Doing it below, there's a great deal of chance you'll get a bullet.

Again - excellent game!

I used that technique too! If it´s allowed now or after the voting, I´m going to make the player-ship die when colliding with faces.

Btw, when you drive in the border, your speed increases. Is it a bug, or a very useful feature? Smiley

Well, it´s programmed like this: When ship collides with border, Stop ship. So basically the player just stops when hitting the border.

The speed increases when moving while touching the border. Beside that, I don´t know any time when the speed is faster.

BTW! I updated the game so that it´s harder to "cheat".

Wow, this game is addictive!

It’s simple and enjoyable. I like the variety in the random faces (and little animations), the minimal graphical style and having one life. It was very easy to learn how to play. I never felt that I died unfairly. My highest score was 6, from about 10 games. No bugs encountered.

Possible improvements:

Shift was an odd choice of confirm button, because my initial reaction was to type Shift+R for the first letter of my name, so I ended up with a blank name.

It would be nice if the current game was highlighted on the high score table.

Maybe splitting it into levels would help it feel more like a game, because the player gets to feel like they’re progressing and the game could be winnable. Perhaps each level could have a colour, to clearly define it.

I think I´ll maybe add those things you suggested, in the final version.
