I'm also a huge fan of lowpoly 3d and I want to say this looks amazing, both in 2d and 3d form.

One thing I want to give a crit on is that your "stupid doodle" I thought had more life than your full character walk. I think it's because the lines jumbled around a bit since you drew a new guy every frame. The character looked more alive since there was movement in every part of the character every frame.

If I could make a suggestion, it'd be to try to same idea in 3d by either jittering the vertices a little every frame or by creating several different versions of the mesh and cycling through them.

Here's some proof from my super secret morgue file of awesomeness:


The technique here is different than I mentioned, but you get the idea. I think it's at least worth giving it a shot.
