Hi,

Another Shmup! With trucks and vampire nazis!

okay, I have a better idea of what I'm doing now. Let me explain the best I can.

Space is big. Really big. My game is small. Really small. Using the awesome that is pgc I will simulate a large outer space in a single room. So instead of before where the asteroids where set on a timer, then pg, they are now completely pg. On three tests, the first I was hit with asteroids as soon as the game loaded, the second took thirty minutes, and the third around two minutes. Each one varied to maybe five then to hundreds of asteroids. Small nebulas also appear on occasion. Soon I hope to have black holes, planets, and more space things all pg. New to this demo include the above with a slightly edited nazi car, an almost finished boss, you can(kinda) die, and finished music for the respected screens. When you die just press enter to reload the game screen, you'll start with -1 health...and not die.

comments and criticism are appreciated Smiley Enjoy

also, the controls:
arrows-move
space-shoots
with missile powerup ctrl-fire missile
with laser powerup shift-fire laser

Hey thanks!
I wasn't sure if they'd 'make the cut'
The nazi ships aren't done yet, but all they really need is a vampire in the driver side Tongue

That looks great, I love the "arcadey" style of the sprites  Kiss.

This is already great fun to play and looks brilliant! I don't see much PCG going on yet though...

One other thing: In case you didn't already know, you can drive off the edges of the screen.

Pretty cool, makes me laugh and is fun enough to keep me playing til the boss (but I died heh).

It would be nice if the truck was a bit smaller, it's a bit of a drag trying to weave with a vehicle that large.

I liked the concept, but I felt like my truck was too big.  I couldn't really maneuver without hitting bullets or rocks.  So I mostly just stayed in one space moving up and down a little while holding down the space bar (and using my extra weapons periodically).  The particle effects were nice and the sprites were cool too.
Cheers!

This game is so badass.  It's got that 80's Capcom-like over the topness.  Very under-rated entry this one.  Ok it's buggy, but look at the size of those sprites...  Shocked
