Luminary's pretty much the first game that I've gotten to a playable/fun stage.Description:
You play as a fireball which leaves behind a trail. The idea is that you can circle enemies with your trail in order to defeat them. It's similar to a shmup in some ways and I got a lot of inspiration from Geometry Wars (it pretty much started out as a clone of that).Feedback:
I'm planning on taking a break from this now that I managed to get a demo up, but I'm interested in what people think of the concept. Also, I was wondering in what ways could the gameplay be expanded. One idea I had was to have bullets like in a traditional shmup but rather than having the bullets kill enemies, the bullets could leave behind a trail.
Another aspect I'd like feedback on is the art/music. Currently, the music, the title screen, the background, and the sprites all seem to have different styles and they clash. How do you think I should unify the themes/styles?Screenshots and Download:
P.S Is there anyone willing to help with the art or music? I have a friend that can do concept art but I can't find anyone that can turn those concept arts into sprites usable in the game.
