I am making an 8-bit styled fighting game.  It will feature:
-jumpingDONE!
-punching
-jump kicking
-2 players
-possibly throwing
-probably a single character

Not much to say at the moment.  This post is mainly to motivate me to keep working on it and to provide a place to post daily updates.  I'll be coding and hopefully getting some friends to do music / artwork, but for the first few updates will probably be using MS paint programmer graphics.

Thanks for looking.  Gentleman

Day 1 Progress
I fell asleep before posting progress from yesterday.

I am using XNA for development as it's what I know best.  After a few hours, I have a basic sprite class and simple, single player input interpretation with jumping. As a bonus, it is also an artistic affront to any game ever created.

Currently the "ground" is a hard coded value the sprite cannot go below.  I hope to work on some level rendering and collision detection for tomorrow.
