I'm looking for help developing games for iPhone and/or other mobile devices. They would likely be monetized as both paid full and lite versions with ads. Profits would be shared.
I've made and released two iPhone games so far:
End of Summer and
Encroachment. I can program, create art assets, make sounds/music and handle basically every aspect of design/development/promotion/publishing. However, doing all these things myself takes a great deal of time.
I'd like to find a flexible partner or partners who can fill a variety of roles, and whose skills complement my own. I'm more than willing to learn new skills and shift into whatever functions are required, though. I'd rank my abilities in various development aspects and associated activities as:
Excellent: - 2D sprites, animation and special effects
- 2D physics and gameplay programming
Good: - 3D modeling
- 2D backgrounds
- Sound effects
- Top-down project design
Decent: - Shaders
- 3D rigging and animation
- Textures and mapping
- 3D physics and gameplay programming
- Concept art
- Music
- Web applications programming
- Interface design
- Video editing
- Database interactivity
- Multi-threaded programming
- Version control
Mediocre: - Informatics/analytics
- Social network integration
- Promotion
- Marketing copy
- Community building
- Intellectual property law
Little or No experience: - Accounting
- Negotiating with external publishers
- Managing team responsibilities
- Microtransactions
Here's some eye-candy:

Ideally, I'd like to work with someone in the San Francisco Bay Area so we can meet and possibly do development in-person. This is not requisite, though. I'm located about 25 miles south of San Francisco. Your familiarity with any of the following is a plus:
Languages:SDKs/APIs:Devices:- iPhone
- Android
- Internet(WebApps)
But the most important requirements are that you be independently motivated, committed and adaptable.
I am envisioning creating smaller games with short development cycles, at least initially. I think a good overall goal is establishing a stable, profitable model which allows us greater freedom of creativity and experimentation as time goes on. I imagine profits would be split either evenly or, if someone ends up doing a clear majority of the work, in other proportions. The exact distribution between people and company, if a company is formed, is negotiable and an area in which I would encourage discussion to avoid potential disputes down the road.
I have a few ideas for games, some of which I've started, but am very open to suggestions as far as changes or starting something entirely new. I'm partial to action/arcade or puzzle games because they fit the capabilities and interface of mobile devices well and can be produced relatively quickly. The scope and details of any projects would largely be determined by our combined abilities, interest and time.

I look forward to seeing what we can create together.
