Hey all, glad there's still interest in this. Antifuzz, I think I may have met you at a Bristol Flash UG meeting?

Yes, I'm going to make sure it happens, I'm still aiming for the weekend of the 21st but no venue yet.

It has been harder than I expected to find suitable cheap venues for a weekend. I think if all else fails I should be able to convince my boss to let us use our (small) office space but we wouldn't be able to squeeze a massive number of people in.

Will send out some more venue queries tonight.

Cool!
I have a possiblity of a cheap, largish venue in Bath, but waiting for details and contact info and whether it's even available that weekend Smiley
Anyway, I'm happy to head over to Bristol, but it might be a backup option.

Something else that occurred to me - how about the odd indie pub meet in the Bristol/Bath area? Can talk about it at the jam of course Wink

*peppers the jam location with subliminal mentions of Swindon*

Though Bristol/Bath are good too.

Twitter and a chance encounter mean that I have a couple of possible Bristol venues now.

Pub meets sound good to me, though I'm not going to be in Bristol that much longer. Could have the first one before the jam if enough people are interested.

Nice one! Good result on the free venue too Smiley
Do you know if there's parking there? I might drive, in which case if anyone wants a lift from Bath/Trowbridge sort of area, let me know (and assuming parking is ok)

It is actually just my work offices after all that, I decided that the advantages of free outweighed the disadvantages. Might be able to squeeze more people in if we find some extra chairs somewhere.

You should be able to find street parking somewhere nearish.

Awesome! I've got my ticket Wink

It terms of staying overnight in Bristol, will we be staying at the venue or need to find somewhere to stay?

Ed: if you could, that would be useful. Smiley

Ali: it's an office, you probably won't find anywhere comfortable to sleep. You can stay over at mine if you like though.

If anyone else has trouble finding accommodation let me know.

Sure. I have two reasonable "office" chairs and some other dining-type chairs if we're desperate.

Likewise I *might* be able to offer accomodation for a few people if needed, although we are ~45 minutes from Bristol and won't be staying out late Wink

I'll have to think about it. Short notice and all that nonsense. Definitely want to though.
