New project I'm working on. The game will use the NES palette and loosely follow it's graphical limitations.

The game will play like Nam-1975 and Wild Guns, but with the ability to build and upgrade turrets and other machinery.

Nam-1975: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjOZZ_J_3EE
Wild Guns: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjT7a8yn3Wc

I'm just going to post assets until (if ever) someone expresses interest in helping me program.

a game like this would be pretty simple to create in game maker, and there's tons of people here well-versed in it. get yer help from the technical forums and get to learn the program, much smoother than relying on someone else.

p.s looks awesome, i always love your art mush.

I've decided to program this one myself.

Haven't had much time to work on this, but I did start a walking animation.

Ooh, I loved Wild Guns!

If I may make a suggestion, your walking animations run a little too smooth to be convincing NES sprites. less frames would make them look more legitimate. I love those designs, though!

Thanks man. I may remove the 'tween frames if it adds to the NES-feel.

It's a start. Not completely optimized for tiling -- just wanted to produce a mock.
