Hi All,

I'm looking at trying my hand at some online multiplayer Flash games, and am shopping around the multiplayer APIs. Nonoba looks very robust, but the site is oddly dead. The last "latest news" post is from 7 months ago,
http://www.nonoba.com/news/chat-updates
and the developer forums are all totally dead. So basically, I'm worried that something in there isn't working, or has been abandoned, or is in the process of dying, which would make learning and using the API a big waste of time.

Does anyone on here use the API/know what it's current state is? I just talked to a moderator on the playing-games side of the site (which is pretty active) and he said he believes things are fine. But I'd like a second opinion.

Anybody?

Thanks.

Maybe it seems dead because now it is Player.IO http://www.nonoba.com/developers?

Hmm.. I hope I'm not that stupid.... I thought that was a separate product. It looks like you're probably right, but... jeez they still have the tons of information about the first one.

I'd vouch for this service. Chris Benjaminsen spoke at FGS about Everybody Edits, which is basically the testbed for player.io, and mentioned interest in working with Flash/indie devs. He definitely knows his stuff. Go email him if you have anything interesting to show.
