Okami: duh, its okami
Psychonauts: great characters, art, and story. decent gameplay too.
King of Fighters XI: arguably the best king of fighters game. great graphics, lots of characters.

also, if we are including gamecube ports

Viewtiful Joe: my favourite game ever. It didn't work quite as well with the ps2 controller, but it made up for it with the addition of dante.

1. Guilty Gear Isuka

guilty gear isuka is widely known as the worst thing to happen to the guilty gear series (unless you count guilty gear 2 (you dont))

please change your vote to Guilty Gear Accent Core

King of Fighters XI: arguably the best king of fighters game. great graphics, lots of characters.

A rough tie for my "favorite KoF game ever," along with 2002 Unlimited. If they ever do some kind of XI "UM," it would surely surpass them both; although it's hard to imagine any other KoF doing that; and doubtful it would happen with XIII in the works (which looks at least like it might be a good standard-faire game, although pretty-looking).

And just because GGI isn't as popular as something straight-forward as XX or Accent Core doesn't mean it's not a better game. People are just too lazy to really figure it out, it has too much depth. Can AC do dual-plane fighting? Dramatic battles ala SFA3? A character with move customization? Cheap, simple instant-kill moves are no substitute for substance like that. Although admittedly, they are kinda funny the first time or two you see them.

Sorry man! GGI > GG*

Huh! Looks like a surprisingly understated game.

Radiata Stories
This game will always sit on my "Favorite RPGs of All Time" list, it had its flaws but overall it was one of the most amazing RPGs I've ever played. Other than some castle guards that were meant to look the same, virtually every NPC in the game was a unique character both in looks and in dialog. All the NPCs had 24-hour schedules they kept and stalking them just to see where they go throughout the day and night was both entertaining and very useful as you could recruit just about every NPC you encountered into your party. I've never played an RPG that felt more "alive".

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams
This game took everything I loved about Onimusha and mashed it all together and kicked it up a couple of notches. Great setting, great story, memorable characters, killer game play.

Okami
There is nothing I can say about Okami that hasn't been said before. It's an amazing game.

Honorable Mentions: Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, Siphon Filter: Dark Mirror, Dark Cloud 1-2, Onimusha 1-3, Dragon Quest 8, Samurai Legend Musashi, King of Fighters 2006, Xenosaga Episode 1-3

psychonauts definitely needs to be bigged up a bit here, it had excellent writing and really varied level design. I played that game excited to see what the next guy's head was going to look like and boyd's paranoid and twisted mind is a fantastic mix of artistic and gameplay elements working together.
