I think you need more "bro" ... or cow bell.

Official PC version wont come for a while methinks - possibly not at all. But you should talk to paul about that once we release on mobile.  I won't be involved in the project post-mobile.

I felt the same way as eyeliner about having fingers on the gameplay screen of smartphones; keep in mind that I come from a console game background. I think this problem isn't as big of a deal with our game because your only input is to tap the screen. The timing and length of your tap is important, and that's about it, so you can do it just about anywhere, like down in the corner where you're not obstructing your view of anything else in the game. Works pretty nicely!

@eyeliner
You posted that playing games on a phone using the touchscreen is dumb, in a topic about a mobile game.

It's like saying to a shipwright "I think traveling on water is dumb."
It doesn't really help, I'm sure someone thinks boats are dumb and you could add wheels to the boat to make it travel on land, but it's still going to be a boat that is designed for traveling over water.

Hence the "cool story bro"..
(Sorry for derailing the thread)

You are right. My comment was misplaced. I apologize to Paul and Dan.

Best of luck to the project.

Thanks for the update, Dan. I guess TIGS should be flattered that they got to see this preview before I did Big Laff

the visuals are looking quite snazzy to me. it doesn't look too saturated on my laptop, unless you're talking about how the background of the corridor looks like it could be considered foreground. either, i like the look of it, especially the snippets on the first page.

BlinkOk:
This iso view was kind of a test to see if we could get away with it.  I'm still unsure of it myself.  But if we do keep it, we're definitely not changing the other themes to be the same way.  I dunno.  I think it'll be easier to decide once I make a test level.

Paste:
yeah depending on the screen I'm looking at, the theme3 graphics I've made look a bit jarring.  It is a bit interesting of a choice to put the saturation in the background for this theme, but that was done because we wanted white foreground tiles.  It's kind of a flipped way of sorting priority, but I think it's working.

after giving it some thought it sounds like a good idea IMHO. not only does the game play progress but the rendering (perspective wise) progresses as well.

Fat, greasy, unshowered, and unshaven... THIS is exactly how I want to be remembered! Big Laff

And I need a haircut.

Thanks for keeping out the messy, impoverished hovel that I call my room out of the shot, though Wink

I've the same monitor on my desk. I got it four (?) years ago, and it's still working pretty well.  Hand Thumbs Up Right

It's okay... Kind of small (19"?) I only use it for working. Games and movies get output to my 32" TV. You can tell where my priorities are Big Laff Big Laff
