Hey there!

Welcome to the introduction thread for BauAir Studios, a one man strong company focusing on music, sfx and trailer production for games.

I started my musical journey back in 2004 when I started playing electric bass in a university rock band. Since then my musical interest has exploded and I’ve been actively composing and producing music as a hobby since the autumn of 2006. During 2010 I started taking it to the next level by composing music for various commercial indie games. Lately I've also begun to dabble in sfx and trailer production as well, all in good fun!

Please check out my page over at www.bauair.se for further info.

Hope to hear from you soon! Beer!

Update!

The Android game Memorize has been released on the Android Market:
https://market.android.com/details?id=se.digitaloak.game.memorize.free&hl=en

The game is freely available so please try it out and let me know what you think of the music and sfx that I've created. I'm still working on some minor additions to the music which will find its way into a future update. Feels great to have finished my first project for mobile platforms! Beer!

The voting results over at Scenecompos.net are in, our track ended up at nr 6 out of 13 contestants, not a bad result for a first timer!

You can listen to the tunes and see the voting over at http://scenecompos.net/compos, the track I worked on together with Elrinth can be found here.

Just finished creating the trailer for Secret Base’s upcoming game Tobe’s Great Adventure! I’m thrilled that the great guys over at Secret Base came back to me for another video gig. I previously made a game play video for Tobe’s Vertical Adventure a few months back.

The news section will most likely be quite dead during summer. I’ll be gone most of the time, but I’ll bring with me my music laptop in case the urge to scribble down some tunes grows too big. Have a great summer and take care! Beer!

I got a request over Twitter from @hiive, asking me if I could help out to create the trailer for his upcoming game Creatures And Castles.

After seeing some screenshots and footages of the game I got really excited to help him out, so I decided to take a break from my summer vacation and got started on the trailer! The finished result can be viewed here. It was a really fun project and Andrew was great to work with, I'm looking forward to any projects we might do in the future.

Now go out and buy the game, it's available for both iOS and Chrome Web Store! Beer!

A new Flash game that I created the music & sfx for has been finished and is now looking for sponsorship over at FGL, check out the brief music and sponsor video here:

In other news I'm working together with the same developer on a new iOS game to be released during the autumn! Beer!

Edit - Some feedback from FGL users on the Project Cupid music:
“Catchy music, cute game…” – AdamDobay

“Very cute game. Love the music and art style.” – Frederik77

“Music is nice and fits the gameplay. Over all mood is good and coherent. Game is easy to restart again and again which is good thing IMO.” – Tumetsu

Hey folks! Beer!

Been a long time since I posted some news, as always it is caused by me being super busy with this thing called real life. Now that things have settled down again I’ve managed to complete another project for the gsCEPT university.

This time they wanted me to produce a short 10 second intro tune for their presentations. They gave me a pretty hardstyle electronic kind of tune as reference, and I came up with this:
http://soundcloud.com/bauair-studios/gscept-intro

I’ve also been composing some tracks for an upcoming iOS game, code named iGoo. Though for various reasons the development of the game has been postponed, so I’ve made two of the tunes available to listen to until the development is started again.

The first tune is a very positive and happy sounding fella:
http://soundcloud.com/bauair-studios/oh-goo

The second tune continues in the same spirit, though it is slightly more complex with a quite different ending part:
http://soundcloud.com/bauair-studios/goo-this

Hope you like them, take care!

Been composing some ambient and mystical pieces to be used in a photo slideshow about a photographer's trip to Svalbard.

The result can be seen and heard here:
http://www.bauair.se/2012/01/svalbard-presentation/

Also finished writing tunes for a Flash game featuring snowballs! It's awaiting sponsorship over at FGL though so it is still hidden in snow.. SORRY!

Currently busy with composing chiptunes for a really cool Flash top-down shooter, featuring lots of famous indie game characters, really cool project. Will give you more info about that once it is release ready!

Cheers! Beer!

Phew! It has been quite hectic lately, we're currently in the final stages of finishing a new really cool Flash game. Hopefully I'll be able to tell you more about that in a few weeks!

Today's update is about a game I scored two tunes for back in December. It's currently looking for sponsorship over at FGL but I wanted to share the tracks that I did. The game is basically a "throw the snowball in your opponents face top-down shooter" with some really fun mechanics , the best one imo is that you can run out of snowballs and you'll have to abandon your fort to go outside and pick up more.

The tune for the menu can be found here:
http://soundcloud.com/bauair-studios/snowfight-menu

It features some quirky synths and a calm and "chill" feel.

The in-game tune can be found here:
http://soundcloud.com/bauair-studios/snowfight-ingame

It's a really crazy fast energetic and arpeggiated game-disco thing. Also features some synth sounds that I think give a good wintery/cold sound to it, while keeping it warm and playful!

Alright alright, so that expected update didn't really happen just a few weeks after my previous news post, quite a surprise! Instead it has taken almost a solid 6 months for this update to see the light of day.

Anyway, a lot has actually happened behind the scenes. First and foremost I have now moved back to my hometown Stockholm, where I'm currently working on setting up my studio again. Feels like a blast to be back here, I've got a lot of great friends in the area and it'll be nice to be able to head out to a bunch of concerts again! Really been missing that a lot while living in a small town.

During spring I've completed the soundtracks for two games that I haven't yet written anything about. Both of them are done by the talented mr Amidos! The first one is a Flash based top-down shooter which features a lot of chiptuney tracks, but it hasn't been released yet so I won't talk more about that one for now.

However, the second one is titled Clean'Em Up and is a really cool shoot em up which might look similar to Geometry Wars, but underneath the surface it has a lot more variation and it is based around more tactical thinking than speedy fingers.

It is currently enjoying a solid 9.6 review score over at Desura and it is also currently featured on Steam Greenlight. Try the demo and if you like it please give us a vote!

Take a trip to http://bauairstudios.bandcamp.com/album/cleanem-up-ost to check out the Clean'Em Up OST and you can also head over to www.cleanemup-game.com for a lot more information about the game!

Just a small bit of boosting my ego:
Blutrausch - ...but the soundtrack is awesome!

I hope that you're all doing great out there, stay tuned for news about another upcoming game which will be released shortly! I'm also planning on doing another project with Amidos, so hopefully I'll have some news about that as well within a relatively short time. Wink

I've recently uploaded my latest music project to Bandcamp, it's for a pretty neat little game called Alone in the Park.

You can take a listen to the music here:
http://bauairstudios.bandcamp.com/album/alone-in-the-park-ost

Also here is a pretty funny playthrough of the game:

Short update this time, currently working on a new project due in March so it's a bit hectic right now!

Take care! Beer!
