Yeah, I thought Ico was pretty painful to play a lot of the time though I guess that's the point? It's supposed to be a struggle, but it's just not fun to play. The setting was pretty cool though. I have the Ico/SotC disc on PS3. Haven't played SotC though.
As for what I have been playing- Akai Katana which is pretty fun, FF13-2 which is pretty dumb, and various fightman games which I always love. If anyone wants to get rocked at Skullgirls or KOF13, lemme know.

Bloodrayne Betrayal on PSN, the other Bloodrayne games were totally 'meh', but this is a whole new direction and it's absolutely fantastic.

I never finished SotC. I never really got used to some aspects of the controls, and overall I found it a bit boring. Oh my surprise when I found out everyone thinks it's Game of the Forever material.
You can edit all the controls in the options menu. Sure, the rest of the world was somewhat desolate, but I actually liked that. It provided a nice breather between those extremely tense battles. And it helped to build up a lonely, serene sort of atmosphere. Even though there were no treasures or any sort of collectibles, exploring the Sacred Land simply to look at the beautiful scenery was really quite something. I figure I'm about halfway through ICO. Every time Yorda tugs at Ico's guiding hand, I can feel myself going: "awwwwwwwww......"

Slender, and it's terribly lame... Everything about it. It's as if the creators of this game had a limit of a dozen polygons for slender man... he looks like ass... maybe that's scary (from a game designers standpoint). The environment can't even be considered scary because it's comical, they took 2 tree models and IDENTICAL textures and filled the "forest" with them. We are supposed to fear this? It looks like the McDonalds arches were painted black and given legs.

Played Slender yesterday too and while the graphics are pretty bad the game runs amazingly slow on my computer.
Well, the people that made it probably aren't professionals or anything and are probably just fans of Marble Hornets wanting to make something good for it.

I'm playing Aria of Sorrow with a special challenge where I don't equip or use any items. It's very interesting how some of the overlooked souls become useful this way, like the Bat soul, which has a short range but low mana cost and high damage so you can spam it as a replacement for your weapon.

aha oh wow, it's not a bug, sometimes you get leeches and vampire bats attached to you, you have to go into the inventory and click on them to remove them manually.

No, it wasn't either of those. I went through my entire inventory in detail because I thought it was a vampire bat at first, but there was nothing.

Heh, that's an interesting challenge. But wouldn't you quickly end up dying really easily if you can't wear better armor? Or is that part of the fun? Anyway, I just played through Golden Axe Warrior on the Sega Master System, having never played it before. That game is so shamelessly Zelda; it's great! There are so many things that are straight-up taken or comparable to the original Zelda, it even has Wizrobes and Like-Likes! Still, the game was much fun, and I enjoyed being able to explore and feel my way through the game without any sort of guidance or direction... Also, the protagonist bears a striking resemblance to Phubans's blue knight avatar thingy. I wonder if he's played this game?
