So THAT'S where Richard came from. I always felt guilty because he seemed important and I never could place a reference.
I wish he becomes more known, too! Didn't Link's Awakening had a easter egg of this game? You know, the one house? I am sure Brawl had a reference, too... Hm! Yeah, that's what I meant. Link's Awakening features Richard's Villa, where he has the same sprite. The background music is a slower version of the overworld theme and he has a bunch of frogs. It seemed like an awful lot of effort for what was essentially a meaningless quest giver, turns out it was because he was in fact another cameo. In Brawl the other prince (the hero) appears as a sticker (Prince Sabure). I don't think Richard is in that game. I'm up to the Eskimo Village in FtFtBT. The game is fun, but I can see why Nintendo balked at localizing it. The game is claustrophobically linear, what with the fact that if you do not literally have every upgrade up to that point you cannot defeat the boss, and yet if you do have all the upgrades defeating the boss is as easy as touching them. It makes no sense to leave Joy Apples and Spa Eggs as limited use consumables, since they're dirt cheap and running out in the middle of a dungeon means a long, boring run back to town to buy more. The overworld maps really don't exploit the opportunity for Tower of the Sorcerer types of puzzles where you have to pick out the right path to conserve your energy. The second visit to Tiramisu Palace is bullshit, with the insta-death pits that send you back to town and make you start the dungeon from the beginning. You can save anywhere, but the game does not feature a reload feature so you have to reset. Pointlessly inconvenient. It is fun to move through the adventure and see your character grow by carefully metered jumps. The dungeon design is really nice when you're not dodging insta-kill pits of fire. There's a good variety of puzzles from mazes to block puzzles, and some reflex-based platforming challenges. The transformation mechanic is actually pretty clever and makes for some original puzzles. If Nintendo revisited this game and took a lot of notes from Tower of the Sorcerer and DROD RPG they could wind up with a really great sequel, though it would require a LOT of effort to balance the game to be just the right difficulty.

Trine. I'm loving it's super polished, almost cheesy fantasy setting.

Not much of anything, right now. I tried to keep playing Capsized again, and it actually hurt my eyes. Beautiful, but holy crap is it floaty and visually noisy as hell.
Also, just got to hour 87 on P3P without realizing it. The power of long bus rides.

Finished portal in 2h ... I thought it was a 4h to 6h long games I could have finish the game in less without that level where I misread the environment.

I've been playing some Frozen Synapse. Good, but i'm not a huge fan of games where multiplayer matches can last for days.

Several games but I'm focusing on Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. I decided to play on proud mode because normal might have been too easy, and I do not care for the story so I'd like a challenge instead of just skipping every cutscene and breezing right through the battles.
I'm playing Aqua's story and I'm on the second Vanitas fight in Neverland. I need to do some serious grinding.

Just picked up a PS3 and got some pretty amazing games with it. Oh, and not to mention the XBL games I downloaded. I went on a bit of a game-buying spree. I now have like 10 games to get through:
-Wizorb (almost done) -Solar 2 -Ilomilo
PS:
-Ico -Shadow of the Collossus -Uncharted 1 & 2 -inFamous 2
Last but not least: DARK SOULS.
Focusing on SotC and Dark Souls right now I think. Dark Souls scares the shit out of me. Wouldn't have it any other way.

I am loving Spacechem. The production levels in particular really shine, because there are so many ways to approach the problem. The final level of each planet always presents an interesting twist on that planet's theme, and makes for some clever situations.
The New Professor Layton hits the Monday after next, I think I'm going to get that too. I've been behind on games for a while now.

I just got to playing the newest NBA Jams on the PS3 with my friend, it's forkin' awesome (especially when you are playing 2P Local vs 2P Online)!
Also, that you can now buy Odin Sphere and GrimGrimoire on the PSN (as well as other PS2 titles) for the PS3 brings a tear of joy to my eye.

Dark Souls finally arrived
Also started playing Heavy Rain. That game is WAY better than I thought it would be. Loving it.
Also fitting in some God of War 3 sessions when I can

Speaking of God of War, I just finished God of War 2.
I really, really hate super cliffhanger endings. Good thing I didn't play it until 3 was out.
I made it to the eighth planet in Spacechem, and it's starting to kick my ass. Production levels are way harder when I don't get to decide how to organize the reactors.

Still Dark Souls. Also, King of Dragon Pass on my iPhone. Apparently this is a port of an old PC game I've never heard of. It's also really unique, sort of a cross between a management sim, a fantasy RPG and a choose your own adventure book.
