All this talk about Pathologic! I feel the need to get this game!
DO IT
Alright, after classes end (early May), I'll pick it up.

I was just playing System Shock. It got pretty rough what with sudden mutant horde and the turret.

Secret of Ultimate Legendary Fantasy Unleashed. (Soulfu from now on, quite the mouthfull)
Check it out at http://www.aaronbishopgames.com/

Soulfu is a free, open source game unlike any other game other than roguelike games.

Stolen directly from the manual:

SoulFu allows up to four players to play simultaneously, and USB Joysticks are recommended. Before starting, you must setup controls for each player. You'll figure it out! There are some things worth mentioning, however...
1. F9 pauses.
2. Characters will slowly starve.
3. Most levels are randomly generated.
4. Hold the inventory button down and press other buttons to do "stuff".
5. Light damage is easy to heal, heavy wounds are not.
6. Enchantments tap mana, making it unavailable for other uses.
7. The castle still needs some work. In the training room, jump on the post to hire helpers.
8. High-level characters must be virtuous.

If riding through a dungeon in a hedgehog (like warthog in Halo) while a friend uses the chaingun, running over all types of cute and un-cute cell shaded critters or wielding a dragon sword and a flame thrower while fighting off goblins and zombies sounds like a good time, you should give it a try.
You control each arm of your character, and can use swords, bows, magic, and other goodies in each hand. You also have two special attack slots that can hold your character's special abilities.

The character classes are:
Soldier
Wizard
Healer
D'warf
G'nome
Hubbin
Mystic
Elf

If you are looking for a quick pick up and play game with beautiful graphics, try it out with some friends.

If you like it check out the forums to get the savegame mod
http://soulfu.forumotion.com/

If you really like it (and know C) try using the development tools

If you REALLY like it ask about development on the forums

Now I'm also playing lots and lots of DROD. I picked up a couple of expansions, which supposedly fill in the story between the last game and the as-of-yet unreleased The Second Sky.

I also finally picked up DROD RPG.

It's a bit shorter than a typical DROD game, since it turns into one big continuous puzzle instead of a lot of discrete smaller puzzles. It's identical in concept and execution to Tower of the Sorcerer if you've played that.

You grab potions and powerups to gain HP and increase your stats, and when you fight a monster the amount of HP you expend is fixed based on your statistics. The whole game revolves around efficiently navigating the levels, defeating foes and collecting upgrades in order to become strong enough to push through to the next area.

The second half of the game introduces a lot of flexibility in the form of upgrade machines which raise your stats in exchange for gold. The cost of upgrades is fixed, but you get better upgrades if you wait to use the machines in deeper levels because they grant bigger boosts for the same cost. There are a lot of things to consider as you optimize your score.

At certain checkpoints (usually after defeating a boss, but sometimes when you find a hidden treasure) you get a score based on your current stats and then get featured on a leaderboard.

If you're careful and optimize well you'll find the game gets very easy towards the end. You can reach the final floor with enough attack power to literally kill every foe in a single hit and take no damage. This makes it very easy to defeat the final enemy and reach the ending.

However, the game teases you with bonus foes located in such a way that they are impossible to defeat without exceptionally high stats. Upon reaching the ending, I was unable to defeat a foe literally standing to the side of the exit and therefore could not see what was beyond him. Even though I breezed through the final floor, I'll have to go back and play again from the start and apply all my knowledge towards optimizing my play even further.

If your goal is to simply beat the game, you'll find the game is a nice, even level of difficulty that puzzles you for a little while but doesn't stop you from winning. If your goal is to master the game, you'll find defeating the most powerful foes to be a very challenging, and require a couple of tries to get it just right.

Everyone grab a friend to share a keyboard and go play some PONGS.

This is hilarious, and yet, 95% of these are balanced enough to be genuinely fun to play with a friend.

egoboo is cool but I'm terrible at it for some reason. Lords of Uberdark look like it will be pretty sweet once it's finished.

Brogue.
Always Brogue.

I'm kinda burned out on Brogue right now. My current roguelike of choice is Crawl Stone Soup.
Same, Stone Soup is the only roguelike I never seem to get tired of.

Ranked #4!

Second online multiplayer consists of a perfect bid in Contestant's Row, a perfect run in Golden Road climaxing in a $80k trailer home, a $10k bonus spin on Showcase Showdown, and this.

This is the moment I've waited 25 years of videogaming for. A decent videogame version of TPiR.

A shame I can't seem to contact FreeMantle Media/Ludia to inform them of a bug in local multiplayer that doesn't display the gameplay year.[/url]

Which ones spew poison when they die?  I can't remember the names.  But anyways, one of those fuckers ended my awesome run at floor 13.  I had fought through a cursed ring of stealth, while being trapped in a spider web, and fighting off 5 ogres at once.  This was after I had fallen into a pit and landed directly beside a pit of lava.  Twice.

Then I killed a poison bloat and couldn't get out of the cloud in time.

On a happier note, LoL can run on my toaster of a laptop!  So now I can play that when my brother steals the desktop.  Goodbye, life.
