Hi guys, I'm glad you like the sprite, but I don't want it to cause a problem for Gabriel. It's his game and I think we should let him do what he wants with the project and artwork.  Gentleman

ok there's a local farm around here who sell unpasteurised, non homogenised milk on "the down low" and i poured it into the orange juice bottle (the orange juice had since separated into weird floaty bits and translucent foul smelling water) but i'm not sure where to go from here. i've been taking laxatives for the past 2 days and i can feel the obstruction in the lower right quadrant and sometimes when i poke it it gurgles like a baby made of soft and hard turds (like bones and soft tissue, but poop) awaiting further instructions

Oh yeah I guess we should probably stop derailing the thread.

I didn't like the first new sprite but then Xion made his edit and I thought were all happy. Then the other sprites came and they were cool too. Then people kept talking about how to make the sprite better. I'm pretty sure that his post is both sarcastic and a joke. (Just like his "f--- you" post was a joke. In fact that post was the most I've laughed on the forums in a long time.)

Also, I was purposely trying to over-analyze it as a joke.


EDIT: Noting like this happened before it was locked, but I agree it should probably be locked again.

EDIT2: I just realized I said we should stop derailing it but then ended up talking about the derailed subject. I'm sorry.

Positive comments are nice, negative comments are not. But whatever the case, if you stick to your own vision it will be your game and I suspect making it will be more enjoyable.

DAY 359 - April 11, 2012

  • Made progress on revamping the ground tiles.
  • Started playing with some test effects animations, using sprite animation instead of particle effects.
  • SECRET TECHNOLOGY continues to be developed. Significant milestone hit!



I know the smoke trails are rough, but this is the first time I've done this kind of animation so I'm just pretending I'm a toddler and messing around with everything. Once I've experimented with some different effects I'll start refining.

Hey guys, I just wanna say thanks for all your support through this project! As you can probably tell I've put it to sleep.

This devlog was a monumental achievement Gabriel, you should be uber proud. In fact, it was the reason I started my own devlog. I know it's probably a soft spot, but I'm interested in reading a post-mortem of sorts, and the reasons behind ending the project.
