Especially digging the foliage pixels in that, and how the grass tiles seem natural and non-repetitive.

Ashkin, can't tell if you're joking, but if you're not then take a chill pill bud, it's fine.
But I want the thousandth post! No No NO
Seriously though, that bestiary screen is gorgeous. Really good choice to use a book format.

Everything is so beautiful! Although a bit dark. But it might be just my screen.
Yea, I guess getting dark areas is super difficult, or nearly impossible when user have a poorly calibrated monitors.

The final game will be a petabyte in size and be playable in an arcade cabinet at IBM's headquarters.

By the time it's done we'll have 16 petabyte iPhones.

Woah, I just found out you're making this game with Game Maker. That will take a while before the whole game has loaded won't it? As far as I know there aren't really great big Game Maker games, so this could be one of the biggest Game Maker games yet. Screamy

Anyway, good luck with further development.

I'm white and sit on a chair all day. So it probably is!  Undecided

Also the game's load time might not be too bad. Depends how many unique assets he has per level. Also, his sprites are fairly small so they'll be quick to load. And if he does external asset loading it could possibly be even shorter. In all honesty, mp3s are what seriously bloats load times. And no sane game dev will use mp3 if they can avoid it.
