Glad to see you back Gabe
seems the habit of making games is hard to break after a year of doing it daily, haha
and yeah i think weekly updates are more appropriate for this forum. i'd still encourage you to make daily updates (on those days in which you work on your game) in some type of personal log that only you can see however, i think that's still pretty useful to do for various reasons
Indeed. Yeah, I'll probably return to tumblr for my dail updates. I've also got a game blog now which I'll post updates to.
Gabriel Verdon, hi!
I nave not read the whole topic. Was any build of this project?
Or, some screens at least?
No released builds, no. I'll fix the links at some point in the future. As for screens, you'll have to crawl through the thread right now.
Gabe, your work is really fantastic. People like you show us what true talent has to offer.
This game is really cool!, i think the artstyle is superb.
Congrats on your return! Just take your time.
That's great :D Sounds like a perfect way of going about things: doing stuff that you find fun, when you find them fun.
I also spent some time hanging around conceptart.org and some other art forums, but for some reason it just doesn't click with me. Tigsource and the indie game community just feels like my home.
And weirdly I know just what you mean. I reckon it's cos sites like conceptart.org feel like proper 'Oh god, this is proper professional, gotta post good and proper all the time' places. Added pressure and all that.
Best of luck with all this anyhow!
Thanks Ryan. Yeah, conceptart.org is a weird one. I kind of feel like everyone there is just trying to push their product. Of course, that happens on every kind of creative forum, but people here feel a lot more genuine to me. Yeah. I dunno. Everyone there just seems way too full of themselves.
I'm really glad this project is continuing. I've been looking at your work for a while - I'm loving what you've been doing.
Thanks Dan! That means a lot coming from you. I'm a big fan of your artwork.
