To have some randomly generated semiotic squares, please click here at your leisure.

It might prove to be a prototype for something that's not coming for a long time, but probably won't be.

I've also included one structural variation (to do with someone's interpretation of the Levi-Strauss canonical formula... ).  It can produce some oddly disconcerting schemata, I think...

strange
dirty
human
strange
clean
human
->
familiar
dirty
human
familiar
clean
machine

Oh, what you're meant to do with the squares is to fill in one object/concept in each cell that fits with th concepts/adjectives in it, or else fit some story to it (well, most people try to find an analogic square to fit a given story/preassembled set of objects, but we must work backwards :/ ).   I was hoping I could find something like wordnet that would allow me to find nouns fitting a given description, but no database yet exist it seems...

(Though you may laugh, somehow it took me over five hours to code this (a good one-and-a-half hours of me trying to trim whitespaces off the data files  Cry ).

Some awesome word-boxes, but I don't really understand what it does.

Some awesome word-boxes, but I don't really understand what it does.

They're used to classify things.  For instance, if I wanted to do a rough classification of characters in X-Men, I could use the semiotic square

Mutant
Good
Mutant
Evil
Human
Good
Human
Evil

And see who fell into each of the four categories.
