I like the super-weird-crude style you have going here. Something in my brain tells me not to like it, but somehow that just makes the rest like it even more. It's not unlike the way Tom Sennett's stuff works, really. It's quite charming in a very quirky way.
Anyway, the concept sounds interesting from what you've shared so far; I'll be interested in seeing where this goes.
phubans: I don't know if this is news or not, but that's blackface, a very old caricature that somehow still has the unfortunate tendency to pop up every now and then even today. (e.g.: That weird meme with the guy shooting lasers out of his mouth or whatever.)

I really liked blackface caricatures purely from a style standpoint when I was younger; I never realized they were racist depictions of African Americans. I just thought they were weird funny alien/humanoid characters. It wasn't until I was older that I realized. Now I still can't stop liking them. I try, but. I can't stop. Someone help me. Oh hey, I posted this on my blog, I hope you don't mind. Because well. It's up. But if you don't want it there, let me know and it'll be down asap.

I wanted the game to have a strange sounding name that didn't really make sense, vis-à-vis Katamari Damacy or Noby Noby Boy, so I just started translating random words into random languages. I came out with Palla-palla Rotolo, which is Italian for "ball-ball roll".
for a while the game was called Boruroru, which is Japanese for "ball roll"
I was asking because it is an interesting name also in Italian (well, even making no sense at all), when usually random translations like this one result in horrible sounding titles. Anyway keep up the awesome
