0.35 broke it for my desktop but not my laptop(which I don't want to play on) But that means I have a good testcase. Going to PM Ben now.

I haven't had any issues with .35 on desktop or laptop myself, luckily. I wish we could change the map size, I'd like to try a narrow map for a grueling face to face battle where taking and holding land is vital.
Has anyone else played on one of the maps that has been completely leveled? It's a much different experience.

Problem solved. If you ever had Cheat Engine installed, even if you uninstalled later 0.35 will find a registry entry in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/.CT and fail. I did have it installed recently, and for AoS, even; I speedhacked to help level a server a few days ago, when it had not been done yet and toppling mountains was still cool. The players on that server even encouraged me to go for it, so I can't exactly say I feel "guilty." I certainly didn't think I would get caught in the anti-cheat after the fact.
Anyway, it's not an actual security solution; the cheaters will have a standalone out in a day or two.

YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH sadly I can't connect due to the some issue with CE on a old harddrive in my new pc and can't seem to get at the Registry entry that and in a means of rage deleted the file the game was in which seems to leave a hidden spyware to check if you already download the new version so now I can't even properly remove the game to reinstall it. some how I had the same issue with inifiminer where i was banned off all servers for digging an enemy into lava. Any way with minecraft far past my reach and ace of spades gone looks like I'm stuck with playing Dwarf fortress forever(until the next inifiminer comes out so I could get 2 days of playing and have some event lock me out of it).

The developer has shut down all the servers until he finishes re-writing the net code

0.36 is available now and the game is playable again. The newest update is supposed to fix a lot of the hacking, although I saw someone using a speed hack in the first game I played so I don't know how effective it is.

I hope block damage from rifles gets added back in soon. Defending is really easy in this game, and attacking is difficult. It could use a respawn timer or something like that to bring offense more in line with defense.

This game has loads of potential :D
It is still too simplistic, with no difference between block resistance for example (so, any sneaky bastard can suddenly take down your tower with his shovel...)
Or the respawn is kinda wonky, and the location of the intel... I kinda got lost on where someone base is actually located.

I want team switching to a team that already has more players to be prevented, though not when joining a round. This would solve so many problems, especially the assholes who switch teams for the express purpose of leveling your carefully crafted fortifications.

That's why I never build careful constructions, its far easier (and tactically more effective) to build a quick and dirty bunker, with a one block firing hole, in the side of a hill. Its fast to build, easy to defend, and hard to assault with grenades.
