that is true, but there are some teas i'd prefer poorly made lipton black tea to, no matter how well they were made (like noni tea, my mother drinks that and it's awful-tasting)

but yeah a lot of people who say they don't like tea i found that what they mean is that they don't like tea when it's made poorly (a lot of people make it too bitter)

Clearly any tea related post needs Douglas Adams' view on the matter... particularly when it comes to black tea...

Around here, most tea is Red Rose or similar, boiled to death with a teabag *in the pot*.  I'd rather not describe the taste for fear of reliving those moments.

There's so many different flavors of tea in the cupboard I don't know what I'm drinking on any given instance.

Even though Paul doesn't like it, we should buy Paul a pu-erh cake as old as he when it's his birthday!

I prefer Oolong (烏龍茶: it's part of my "survival" Chinese ability), and green tea (綠茶) is usually good (unless it's instant). Loose (aka free) leaf teas are my preference.

I like Earl Grey, and a friend of ours gave us a special aromatic variation of it that is the best I've had yet, and it was the best bagged tea I've tried. There was also some apple cinnamon black tea and chai green tea I finished off recently because they were not bad and reminded me of my childhood autumns before I became an ex-patriot. They were like pumpkin pie in a cup. They might remind some of mulled wine or wassail, but those weren't among my family traditions.

Lavender is my favorite flower tea.

I enjoy vanilla and rooiboos teas. I'm not sure what color that makes them.

Green tea. The health benefits of drinking it are too many to list (actually, i dont feel like typing much; just google them).
Its the fact that the leaves are processed differently (minimally) that allows it to retain a lot of its nutrients (its freaking laden with antioxidants).
I drink it without sugar, by itself or either mixed with lemon juice or with black pepper (both of which are believed to increase the amount of catechins -antioxidant compounds- that your body is able to absorb).
Be skimpy with the black pepper though, or it might render it undrinkable to anyone but the manliest of men.

Come to think about it, i wonder what would happen if i added the lemon juice AND the black pepper simultaneously.  Cool
